What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks an AMHS Equipment Engineer I to learn, support, and optimize Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. This is an entry-level engineering role focused on hands‑on troubleshooting, data-driven improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to increase equipment reliability, safety, and factory output.
- Learn and support AMHS equipment and associated factory automation systems.
- Use data and analytics to identify equipment performance trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in root cause investigations.
- Apply structured problem-solving methods (FMEA, 8D, SPC) and statistical analysis.
- Participate in equipment qualification, startups, preventive maintenance, and spare parts management.
- Contribute to documentation updates, change control, and standardization efforts.
- Support projects to improve reliability, capacity, cost, cycle time, and safety.
- Use AI-enabled tools and automation platforms to accelerate analysis and problem resolution.
- Communicate status, plans, and technical findings clearly with technicians, engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, Mechatronics, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply engineering principles and solve technical problems.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) with willingness to learn data analytics and AI-assisted tools.
- Effective verbal and written communication; strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, prioritization, and time management.
- Ability to follow procedures and work with limited supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn automation, robotics, and material handling systems.
Preferred
- Internship, co-op, research, lab, or project experience in manufacturing, automation, robotics, or data analysis.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, controls, or semiconductor processes.
- Exposure to statistical analysis, continuous improvement, or project-based engineering work.
Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (see Qualifications).
- Preferred: Hands-on experience from internships, co-ops, academic projects, or labs focused on automation, controls, data analytics, or manufacturing systems.
Compensation & Location
- Estimated salary: $136,603 per year (estimated).
- Location: Boise, ID (on-site role). Candidates must be able to work at the Boise facility.
