The Opportunity

Confidential client is hiring an Ambulatory Medical Assistant (MA) to support outpatient clinic operations. This is a remote-friendly, full-time position based in Federal Heights, CO (telecommute eligible). You will work under the clinical supervision of licensed providers to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.


What You’ll Do

  • Room patients and collect accurate intake information (vitals, medical history, medications, immunizations).
  • Document encounters and data in the electronic health record (EHR) with attention to detail.
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures; prepare rooms and supplies.
  • Administer immunizations or injections under supervision where permitted by state regulations.
  • Collect, label, and prepare laboratory specimens (blood, urine) following clinic protocols.
  • Perform or assist with point-of-care testing (e.g., glucometer, i-STAT, Piccolo) and basic diagnostics as directed.
  • Monitor and triage in-basket messaging—route and respond to patient and staff messages to support clinical workflow.
  • Maintain exam rooms and medical equipment, ensure sterilization and restocking of supplies.
  • Provide clear patient education on treatment plans, medication use, and follow-up care.
  • Support administrative tasks such as referrals, record management, and clerical duties as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and help prepare for regulatory surveys.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: High school diploma or GED plus graduation from a Medical Assistant or EMT program — OR — Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field (e.g., Health Sciences, Biology, Kinesiology, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health).
  • Certifications: CPR/BLS required.
  • Experience: No prior paid experience required; relevant clinical internships, externships, or patient-facing experience preferred.
  • Core competencies: accountability, attention to detail, teamwork, clear communication, initiative, patient relations, and the ability to influence positive outcomes.
  • Work eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Role is telecommute-eligible but will support Federal Heights, CO operations; remote employees should be able to work on Colorado time expectations as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $20.69 - $27.36 per hour (hourly wage).
