Position Overview

Confidential Client (Accounting & Finance) is hiring an entry-level Algorithmic Trading Analyst to join its Stamford, CT team. This full‑time, in‑office role sits at the intersection of market structure, algorithmic execution, trading technology, and quantitative analysis. You will work closely with trading, quant, and engineering teams to support execution algorithms, transaction cost analysis (TCA), product testing, and performance analytics.

Estimated compensation: $112,080 per year (estimated).


What You’ll Do

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of market structure and electronic trading behavior across asset classes and regions.
  • Learn how execution algorithms, routing logic, and trading systems operate in production.
  • Evaluate algorithm performance using statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Support testing, QA, and ongoing maintenance of trading products and algorithm releases.
  • Contribute to product planning, prioritization, and cross‑functional communication across trading, engineering, and client teams.
  • Prepare internal and client‑facing presentations that summarize analysis and recommendations.
  • Gain exposure to Global Equities and Futures market structure and region‑specific trading differences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R and SQL.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and eagerness to learn in a fast‑paced trading environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work in person daily at the Stamford, CT office.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
