Role Summary

Confidential Client is seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to design, prototype, and ship AI-enabled software that modernizes existing products and creates new capabilities across their portfolio. You will help teams adopt agentic workflows and automation to speed delivery while ensuring maintainability, reliability, and responsible use of AI.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and ship new applications and modernize legacy software with AI-enabled features.
• Create repeatable agentic workflows and developer automation to improve developer productivity and software quality.
• Evaluate AI tools, models, and frameworks; build prototypes that demonstrate measurable value.
• Harden prototypes into secure, production-ready solutions with testing, validation, code review, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, electrical, service, and project engineers to solve product problems and expand responsible AI adoption.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering experience in one or more modern languages (TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools and agentic workflows to plan, build, test, review, or improve software.
• Experience automating engineering workflows via scripting, CI/CD, internal tooling, or similar methods.
• Sound judgment about LLM outputs, including recognizing limitations and moving from experimentation to maintainable production code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or integrating LLM applications, such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool calling, agents, or evaluation frameworks.
• Familiarity with machine learning or creating ML-enabled products from business data.
• Experience with tools/platforms like GitHub Copilot, Claude, Azure, or comparable AI development platforms.
• Prior production experience deploying AI-enabled services and integrating them into existing product stacks.
