What You’ll Do

You will design, build, and deploy production-ready AI software that leverages large language models (LLMs), agentic AI workflows, and modern ML infrastructure. This role focuses on integrating LLMs, coding agents, and autonomous agents into scalable backend systems and applications used by the confidential client.

• Design and implement AI-powered services and microservices
• Integrate LLMs and generative AI into product workflows
• Build and orchestrate AI agents and multi-step agent workflows
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (Python, Java, JavaScript)
• Use APIs and SDKs from LLM providers and toolkits (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain)
• Leverage vector databases for semantic search and retrieval
• Deploy and operate solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Monitor model performance and iterate on improvements
• Collaborate across product, data science, and engineering teams

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend services that host AI/ML models and agents
• Fine-tune and evaluate models; implement evaluation pipelines and monitoring
• Integrate third-party model providers and toolkits into secure, scalable pipelines
• Implement CI/CD for model + application deployments and automated testing
• Ensure reliability, observability, and data security of AI systems in production
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance (latency, throughput, cost)
• Document designs, runbooks, and operational playbooks for deployed models

Must-have Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience in Python; Java or JavaScript experience is a plus
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning concepts
• Practical familiarity with LLMs and generative AI usage patterns
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and backend system design
• Knowledge of databases: SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD best practices
• Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work onsite in Peachtree Corners, GA for the assignment duration

Preferred / Nice-to-have

• Experience with agent frameworks and orchestration (LangChain, agents, tool-based agents)
• Familiarity with assistive coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and experimental tools (ex: Cursor, Claude Code)
• Experience fine-tuning or evaluating LLMs and building evaluation metrics
• Experience with vector stores (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate) and semantic retrieval
• Background in production monitoring of ML systems (A/B testing, drift detection, metrics)
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
