What You’ll Do

• Develop scalable web applications and backend services using Java (8/17) and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/observability, and production deployments.
• Integrate AI/LLM features including RAG pipelines using Spring AI or LangChain4j and vector databases.
• Implement embeddings, chunking strategies, retrieval optimization, and reranking techniques.
• Ship production-ready features with attention to cost, performance, and security best practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; own features across design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
• Conduct code reviews, write tests, and maintain clear technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with Spring (Boot) and Maven, and building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL.
• Front-end familiarity (React.js or Angular, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and common data structures (Collections, Maps, Sets).
• Basic knowledge of AI/LLM concepts, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0–1 year of practical Java coding experience (entry-level / early career welcome).
• Experience with Spring AI, LangChain4j, or building RAG applications.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebLogic, Tomcat, or similar Java ecosystem technologies.
• Production experience with vector DBs, retrieval tuning, or LLM integrations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: USD 62,000–80,000 per year (range provided by Confidential Client).
