What You’ll Do

You will design, build, and maintain AI-powered systems that automate automotive deal sourcing and marketplace workflows for a Confidential Client. Work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to move models from research to production and to scale data pipelines that power automated marketplace features.

• Develop production-grade machine learning models and data pipelines for deal discovery, pricing signals, and fraud/pre-screening.
• Build backend services and APIs to operationalize ML models and integrate with marketplace workflows.
• Implement reliable data ingestion (web scraping, APIs, ETL) and data validation for high-quality training and inference data.
• Monitor, optimize, and retrain models in production; implement observability and CI/CD for ML systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business metrics into technical requirements and deliver measurable improvements to sourcing and automation.

Who You Are / Qualifications

The Confidential Client is looking for an engineer with demonstrated experience in building and deploying ML-powered systems and strong software engineering discipline.

• Experience building production machine learning or AI systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks.
• Experience with data engineering: SQL, ETL pipelines, and working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with APIs, containerization (Docker), and deploying services to cloud platforms.
• Good software engineering practices: testing, code reviews, performance profiling, and observability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to partner with product and business stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience in automotive, marketplace technology, or deal-sourcing workflows.
• Familiarity with NLP techniques for document processing or web/text scraping.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and MLOps tools (Kubernetes, Airflow, MLFlow).
• Knowledge of pricing models, recommendation systems, or anomaly detection.
