What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an AI Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain production-ready AI systems. This is a remote role; teams are distributed and collaborate across time zones.

• Build reliable, maintainable software that powers machine learning and AI features.
• Implement model training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines in collaboration with ML engineers and data scientists.
• Translate research or prototype models into production-quality code, including testing, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, improve model reliability, and instrument observability.
• Work with cross-functional partners (product, design, data) to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
• Contribute to engineering best practices: code reviews, documentation, CI/CD, and security standards.

Who You Are / Qualifications

We’re looking for a practical engineer who can move models and systems from experimentation to production while keeping quality and reliability front of mind.

• Proven experience developing production software (backend or full-stack) that supports ML/AI features.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, and system design.
• Comfort working on distributed/remote teams and communicating across functions.
• Ability to learn new models, frameworks, or infrastructure quickly and apply them to product needs.
• Professional and interpersonal skills that support collaborative development and delivery.

These are optional but helpful.

• Experience shipping model-serving or inference infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Primary location: Arkansas, US (role is remote/telecommute).
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Work hours may require some overlap with distributed teams.
