Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level AI Product Specialist to build, tune, test, and document conversational AI agents using a commercial AI Agent Platform. This role combines hands-on prompt engineering, conversational design, QA testing, and lightweight scripting/functions to create voice and text agents that meet customer goals. The position is an excellent entry point into AI product, engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
What You’ll Do
- Own creation and refinement of voice prompts and conversation flows for AI Agents.
- Build agents on the platform using prompt engineering techniques and conversation design best practices.
- Tune model and audio settings (STT, LLM, TTS) to achieve brand-aligned, natural interactions that meet customer success criteria.
- Develop small custom functions (validate zip code, schedule callback, update profile) when LLMs need deterministic behavior.
- Create and run QA test plans; develop tooling or scripts to scale QA and validate agent performance.
- Review customer artifacts (call recordings, scripts, FAQs, brand guidelines) to inform agent behavior.
- Work with Forward-Deployed Engineers and PMs to iterate agents and deliver product feedback to improve the platform.
- Build simple demos and MVP agents to support sales conversations when needed.
- Document and codify best practices, share findings across the team, and contribute to prompt engineering forums.
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science) — or equivalent hands-on experience with prompt engineering.
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships, start-up roles, or significant projects) demonstrating technical curiosity and delivery.
- Experience or strong interest in voice AI, conversational design, or LLM-based systems.
- Comfortable writing small code snippets or functions (JavaScript/Python or similar) to extend agent capability.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem decomposition, and attention to detail for QA and iteration.
- Excellent time-management and communication skills; able to prioritize work and keep stakeholders informed.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: adaptable, fast learner, and willing to take ownership.
Career Path & Collaboration
This is an early-career, technical product role. After 12–24 months, high performers are expected to grow into product management, engineering, or customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Forward-Deployed Engineer). You’ll work closely with PMs, engineers, and customer-facing teams to shape product requirements and features.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated base pay (as provided in the original posting): $95,489 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will be determined based on candidate experience, location, and other factors. All offers may include equity and a variable component where applicable.
Benefits (representative):
