About the Role
This entry-level role is for students completing a bachelor’s degree in Spring 2027. As an AI Platform Engineer at a confidential client, you’ll help build backend services, developer tooling, and shared platform capabilities that power production AI products for enterprise and government customers. You will own scoped projects (APIs, data pipelines, developer tools), collaborate with Product and ML teams, and receive mentorship from experienced engineers.
What You’ll Work On
- Design and build backend services and data pipelines that power AI products; own implementation, testing, and maintenance for scoped projects.
- Build developer tooling that accelerates ML product development, including experiment tracking, artifact management, and automated training/eval pipelines.
- Design modular, reusable components and clean APIs (REST, gRPC); profile and optimize for latency and throughput.
- Help harden systems for enterprise and government use — testing, failure handling, retries, and idempotency.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and ML teams to remove bottlenecks and reduce time to production.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You…
- Expect to complete a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field in Spring 2027.

- Have built a backend service, API, data-intensive application, or developer tool via internship, coursework, research, or personal project.
- Are curious about systems internals and eager to learn distributed systems topics (consistency, failure handling, retries).
