Role overview

You will join a small engineering team to build and improve a real product that helps field sales teams work and serve customers more effectively. The role emphasizes building software with modern AI-assisted coding tools — using them to explore, prototype, and produce reliable code — rather than researching models or working only on model development.

You’ll work across a cloud + native mobile stack (AWS backend, TypeScript application and infra, Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android). You don’t need to be an expert in every area on day one, but you should be comfortable learning across the stack and using AI tools to become productive quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve product features from customer needs through testing and release.
• Use AI coding tools thoughtfully: provide context to agents, evaluate suggestions, and verify results.
• Troubleshoot issues in production, logs, permissions, queues, and deployed services.
• Participate in code reviews, give and receive feedback, and communicate progress and risks.
• Take initiative to propose simpler solutions and identify useful improvements.
• Contribute to engineering support rotation as you become familiar with the product.

What We’re Looking For

• Evidence you can build: a project, internship, coursework, freelance work, or code you contributed to — and the ability to explain your role and decisions.
• Practical experience using modern AI coding tools for real tasks (not only snippet generation). Be ready to describe what you delegated to the tool, what it got right or wrong, and how you validated the result.
• Curiosity and resourcefulness: you investigate unfamiliar problems, experiment, and ask useful questions.
• Initiative and follow-through: you propose solutions, finish agreed work, and communicate blockers or risks.
• Openness to feedback and the ability to iterate on your approach.
• Comfort learning across a stack that includes AWS, TypeScript, Swift, and Kotlin (experience with any subset is useful).

• You must currently live in Southern California and be able to work in person at the Irvine, CA office.
