What You’ll Do

As an Experienced Associate on the AI Governance team within the Digital Assurance & Technology area, you will support the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks aligned to industry standards. You will contribute to projects that assess governance, risk, and control activities — gathering requirements, documenting processes and controls, and synthesizing findings for diverse stakeholders. This role offers exposure to emerging AI governance practices and the chance to drive practical, scalable improvements for clients of our confidential client.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Navigating complex regulatory landscapes and advising clients on AI governance and compliance
  • Assessing regulatory compliance and managing AI-related risks
  • Enhancing internal controls to mitigate model and data risks
  • Gathering information from technical and non-technical sources to analyze facts and discern patterns
  • Supporting design and assessment of AI governance models, policies, standards, and control programs
  • Translating technical AI/ML concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Upholding professional and technical standards, including independence and code-of-conduct requirements
  • Collaborating across diverse teams and adapting to fast-paced client environments
  • Taking ownership of tasks and consistently delivering high-quality work that drives client value

Qualifications — What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in governance, risk, controls, audit, analytics, or related functions

Preferred Qualifications — What Sets You Apart

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, or Project/Technology Management
  • Experience or exposure to AI/ML governance, validation, audit, testing, or controls
  • Familiarity with AI risk frameworks such as NIST and ISO, and awareness of AI lifecycles
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize technical information for business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated learning mindset and ownership of professional development
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business operations in technology or assurance contexts

Location, Travel & Employment Type

Location: Ny State Campus, NY (onsite or client-facing as required) Travel: Up to 20% Employment Type: Full-time


Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $63,000 - $141,500 per year. Actual pay within this range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable local laws. All hired individuals may be eligible for discretionary bonus and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and other programs offered by our confidential client.

This role will give you hands-on experience shaping AI governance programs and working with multidisciplinary teams to translate governance into operational controls. You will build subject-matter knowledge, client-facing skills, and a professional network while contributing to meaningful risk-management outcomes.
