What You’ll Do
As an early-career AI Engineer / Data Scientist Associate you will help design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled data solutions that turn raw data into reliable, explainable insights for our client’s customers. You’ll work on client engagements across the Assurance and Digital/Technology space and contribute to technical delivery, evaluation, and reusable tooling.
- Design and implement AI systems and machine learning models to support client decision-making
- Develop, train, validate, and deploy models using Python and common ML frameworks
- Prepare and clean datasets: feature engineering, data wrangling, and preprocessing
- Build and maintain data pipelines and relational data stores for scalable data access
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI components into existing infrastructure
- Design and run tests for AI-system behavior, performance, robustness, bias, explainability, and failure modes
- Evaluate technical controls and evidence; document findings, limitations, and remediation recommendations
- Develop reusable evaluation tools, automated tests, reference datasets, monitoring capabilities, and evidence workflows
- Translate technical results into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Learn continuously, take ownership of deliverables, and support client-facing engagements
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- At least 1 year of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or software/data engineering
- Practical experience with Python for data analysis and model development
Preferred / differentiators
- Degree in Analytics/Data Science, AI/Robotics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
- Experience with model evaluation, bias/drift detection, explainability techniques, and guardrails
- Familiarity with building automated tests, monitoring pipelines, and reusable evaluation tooling
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in fast-paced client environments
- Experience with relational databases and data modelling techniques
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,000 - $141,500 (actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location)
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
- Benefits typically include medical, dental, vision, retirement (401k), paid holidays, vacation, and paid sick leave — final offerings are provided by the client

- Work location: Manhattan, NY — this is a full-time role.
