Role Overview
This opportunity is for an AI-Enabled Solution Architect focused on capture and proposal support (pre-award). The Confidential Client is seeking an architect who will use enterprise and commercial AI tools to shape compliant, competitive technical solutions and produce proposal-ready artifacts that increase Probability of Win (PWin) for defense-focused pursuits. This role is remote within CONUS and reports to the Lead Solution Architect.
What You’ll Do
Support capture and proposal teams to rapidly develop clear, compliant, and competitive solution artifacts using AI-enabled workflows.
- Support live DoD/defense captures and proposals by developing concept-level solutions that map directly to solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Translate customer requirements and technical baselines into proposal-ready artifacts (solution descriptions, features/benefits, compliance matrices, discriminators).
- Create and refine reusable solution architectures, workflows, and patterns for use across multiple pursuits.
- Draft and edit technical and management volume content that explains mission fit, risk reduction, and measurable value.
- Use enterprise and commercial AI platforms to analyze RFPs/RFIs, identify requirements and risks, and generate/refine solution narratives.
- Develop and maintain repeatable prompt patterns and AI workflows to increase speed and consistency.
- Apply prompt-engineering best practices and curate AI outputs to ensure technical accuracy and contractual compliance.
- Support color-team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) by iterating solution narratives and artifacts quickly based on reviewer feedback.
Collaboration & Stakeholders
Work closely with capture and proposal leadership and subject-matter experts to ensure AI-enabled solutions align with strategy and win themes.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience supporting defense/government mission support environments.
- Strong familiarity with defense mission contexts and common solution constructs (systems integration, logistics/sustainment, training/simulation, C5ISR, etc.).
- Demonstrated proficiency with commercial AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for analysis, drafting, and solution exploration.
- Experience designing effective prompts and repeatable prompt patterns for consistent AI outputs.
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills for formal, structured proposal content.
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail and compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by assignments.
- Must support proposal timelines, including surge periods and occasional non-standard hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data/AI, business, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with enterprise/secure AI platforms (e.g., government-specific AI environments).
- Conceptual knowledge of generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI-assisted analytics.
- Experience with structured capture/proposal processes (Shipley, gated reviews, color teams).
- Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional capture, BD, and technical teams.
Location & Working Conditions
- Remote within CONUS; occasional travel (<20%) for in-person working sessions, workshops, or proposal orals.
- Pre-award (capture/proposal) role only — no post-award execution responsibility.
- Schedule flexibility required to support proposal deadlines and surge periods.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base compensation (good-faith estimate): $140,000 per year.
- Benefits may include: health/dental/vision, PTO and holidays, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, disability & life insurance, and additional offerings where applicable.
- Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, location, and applicable agreements.
