Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an AI-Enabled Solution Architect to support capture and proposal activities across defense-focused pursuits. This pre-award, entry-level architecture role reports to the Lead Solution Architect and uses enterprise and commercial AI tools to help shape compliant, competitive technical solutions and produce proposal-ready artifacts. This role is Remote within CONUS and supports multiple capture teams. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance are required.


What You’ll Do

  • Support live DoD/defense captures and proposals by developing concept-level technical solutions that respond to solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Translate requirements, technical baselines, and capability narratives into proposal-ready artifacts (e.g., solution descriptions, features/benefits tables, compliance matrices, discriminators) using AI-assisted analysis.
  • Create and refine solution architectures, workflows, and reusable patterns focused on clarity, compliance, and competitive differentiation.
  • Draft and refine content for technical and management volumes to demonstrate how proposed solutions meet mission needs, reduce risk, and deliver measurable value.
  • Use internal enterprise AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI) and commercial tools (e.g., Claude) to analyze solicitations, generate solution concepts, and iterate quickly during color team reviews.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable prompt patterns and AI workflows to increase speed and consistency of solution development.
  • Apply prompt engineering best practices and curate AI outputs to ensure technical coherence, compliance, and alignment with capture strategy.
  • Rapidly iterate solution narratives and artifacts in support of color team reviews (Pink/Red/Gold) and reviewer feedback.
  • Serve as a shared resource across multiple pursuits, balancing priorities and supporting surge proposal timelines.

Key Qualifications (Required)

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting defense/government mission support environments (DoD experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of defense mission areas and solution constructs (systems integration, logistics/sustainment, training/simulation, C5ISR, or related domains).
  • Familiarity with federal proposal structure and evaluation criteria, including technical and management volumes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using commercial AI products (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for analysis, drafting, and solution exploration.
  • Experience designing effective prompts and repeatable prompt patterns that produce reliable outputs.
  • Excellent written communication skills for formal, customer-facing proposal content.
  • Strong analytical ability to assimilate RFPs and stakeholder input and synthesize coherent solution narratives.
  • High attention to detail to ensure compliance, traceability, and consistency.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance as needed.
  • Ability to support non-standard hours and surge periods to meet proposal deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data/AI, business, or defense-related discipline.
  • Familiarity with enterprise or government AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI).
  • Conceptual exposure to generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI-assisted analytics.
  • Prior experience with structured capture/proposal processes (e.g., Shipley methods, gated reviews, color teams).
  • Experience collaborating with technical SMEs, program managers, and business development teams.

  • Compensation: $140,000 (good-faith estimate; final offer may vary based on experience, location, and other factors).

Working Conditions

  • Location: Remote within CONUS; occasional travel (<20%) may be required for team sessions, workshops, or proposal orals.

  • Reporting: Reports to the Lead Solution Architect and operates as a shared resource across capture and proposal teams.
