Summary
Confidential Client is seeking an AI-Enabled Solution Architect to support capture and proposal development for Department of War (DoW) pursuits. This is an entry-level architecture role focused on using AI tools to accelerate solution concepting, produce proposal-ready artifacts, and improve Probability of Win (PWin). This is a pre-award, shared-resource role that reports to the Lead Solution Architect.
Location & Compensation
- Remote within CONUS (occasional travel <20% for team sessions or proposal events)
- Compensation: $140,000 (good-faith estimate)
What You’ll Do
- Support live DoD capture and proposal efforts by developing concept-level technical solutions that align with solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and customer constraints under the guidance of the Lead Solution Architect.
- Translate customer requirements, capabilities narratives, and technical baselines into proposal-ready artifacts (e.g., solution descriptions, features/benefits tables, compliance mappings, discriminators) using AI-assisted analysis and content generation.
- Create and refine reusable solution architectures, workflows, and patterns that emphasize clarity, compliance, and competitive differentiation (conceptual level — not detailed implementation).
- Draft and refine content for technical and management volumes that explain how proposed solutions meet mission needs, reduce risk, and deliver measurable value.
- Use enterprise and commercial AI platforms to analyze RFPs/RFIs, extract requirements and risks, and generate/refine solution narratives.
- Develop repeatable prompt patterns, AI workflows, and prompt engineering practices to improve speed, quality, and consistency of outputs.
- Curate and quality-assure AI-generated content to ensure technical coherence and alignment with capture strategy.
- Support color team reviews (Pink/Red/Gold) by rapidly iterating solution narratives and artifacts based on reviewer feedback.
- Collaborate across capture teams, technical SMEs, proposal managers, and operations/program leads; operate as a shared resource and balance priorities across multiple pursuits.
- Advocate for safe, compliant AI usage in capture/proposal activities and coach colleagues on practical prompt practices, oversight, and data protection.
You Should Have
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years supporting DoW or closely related government mission support environments.
- Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of DoW missions and common solution constructs (systems integration, logistics/sustainment, training/simulation, C5ISR, etc.) and familiarity with federal proposal structure and evaluation criteria.
- AI & tooling: Demonstrated proficiency using commercial AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for analysis, drafting, and solution exploration. Experience creating effective prompts and repeatable prompt patterns.
- Skills: Strong analytical ability to assimilate RFPs and stakeholder input and synthesize coherent solution narratives. Excellent written communication for structured, customer-facing proposal content. High attention to detail and compliance traceability.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by assigned projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Availability: Able to support proposal surge periods and non-standard hours as required by submission timelines.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data/AI, business, or a defense-related discipline.
- Familiarity with enterprise or government AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI) and architectural AI concepts (RAG, prompt engineering, generative AI).
- Experience with structured capture/proposal processes (Shipley-style methods, gated reviews, color teams).
- Prior work in cross-functional capture/proposal teams interfacing with SMEs, program managers, and business development.
Working Conditions & Reporting
- Remote within CONUS with occasional travel for in-person sessions (estimated <20%).
- Reports to the Lead Solution Architect and functions as a shared resource supporting multiple capture/proposal teams.
- Must be able to support deadline-driven schedules, including surge work and non-standard hours.
Why This Role Matters
This role increases organizational capacity to address technically complex small- and mid-sized DoW opportunities that require structured solutioning but may not receive dedicated architect support. By applying AI to solution shaping and proposal development, the position raises consistency, innovation, and ultimately PWin across a broader portfolio of pursuits.

- Educational reimbursement
- Parental leave
