Overview

Confidential Client’s Engineering & Technology organization is expanding capacity to pursue Department of War (DoW) opportunities across a broad portfolio. The AI-Enabled Solution Architect — Capture & Proposal Support (Entry-Level Architect) is a pre-award, shared-resource role that uses AI tools and repeatable prompt patterns to accelerate and improve capture and proposal solutioning for DoD opportunities. This role reports to the Lead Solution Architect and partners with capture managers, proposal managers, SMEs, and program/operations leads to produce proposal-ready artifacts that increase Probability of Win (PWin).

Key Responsibilities

• Support live DoD capture and proposal efforts by developing concept-level technical solutions aligned with solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and customer constraints.
• Translate requirements, capability narratives, and technical baselines into proposal-ready artifacts (e.g., solution descriptions, features/benefits, compliance matrices, discriminators) using AI-assisted analysis and drafting.
• Create and refine solution architectures, workflows, and reusable patterns that emphasize clarity, compliance, and competitive differentiation.
• Draft and refine content for technical and management volumes describing how proposed solutions meet mission needs, reduce risk, and deliver measurable value.
• Use internal enterprise AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI) and commercial tools (e.g., Claude) to:
  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and related documents to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Generate and iterate solution concepts, narratives, and supporting materials.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable prompt patterns and AI workflows to improve speed and output quality.
• Apply prompt-engineering best practices to guide AI toward accurate, relevant, and compliant outputs; curate AI-generated content to ensure technical coherence and alignment with capture strategy.
• Support color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold, etc.) by rapidly iterating solution narratives and artifacts based on reviewer feedback.
• Serve as an AI advocate and enabler for capture/proposal teams—documenting lessons learned, coaching colleagues on safe/effective AI use, and promoting secure, compliant practices.
• Operate as a shared resource across multiple pursuits, balancing priorities under direction of the Lead Solution Architect.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years supporting DoW or similar government mission support environments with direct exposure to defense mission contexts.
• Strong domain knowledge of DoW mission areas and typical solution constructs (e.g., systems integration, logistics & sustainment, training & simulation, C5ISR).
• Familiarity with federal proposal structure, technical/management volume constructs, and evaluation criteria.
• Demonstrated proficiency with commercial AI products (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for professional tasks: analysis, drafting, solution exploration, and content refinement.
• Experience designing effective prompts and repeatable prompt patterns that generate consistent, high-quality outputs for proposal development.
• Excellent analytical and written-communication skills; ability to synthesize RFP requirements, technical baselines, and stakeholder inputs into coherent solution narratives.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail and strong compliance orientation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• U.S. citizenship required and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed by assigned projects.
• Ability to support surge periods and non-standard hours to meet submission deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data/AI, business, or a defense-related discipline preferred.
• Familiarity with enterprise or secure AI environments (e.g., ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI).
• Conceptual knowledge of generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering from an architectural perspective.
• Experience within structured capture/proposal processes (e.g., Shipley, gated reviews, color teams).
• Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams including technical SMEs, program managers, and BD professionals.

Working Conditions

• Location: Remote within CONUS (telecommute). Occasional travel (<20%) may be required for in-person workshops, proposal orals, or team sessions.
• Reports to the Lead Solution Architect and operates as a shared resource across multiple capture and proposal teams.
• Must be able to support proposal timelines including surge periods and non-standard hours when necessary.

• Base salary: $140,000 (good-faith estimate; actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other factors).
