Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking an AI-Enabled Solution Architect to support capture and proposal activities across Department of Defense (DoD) pursuits. This pre‑award role focuses on using enterprise and commercial AI tools to accelerate solution development, produce compliant proposal artifacts, and improve Probability of Win (PWin). This is a remote role (CONUS) that serves as a shared resource across capture teams and reports to the Lead Solution Architect.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide capture and proposal solution support by developing concept-level technical solutions that respond to solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria under the guidance of the Lead Solution Architect.
  • Translate requirements, technical baselines, and stakeholder input into proposal-ready artifacts (solution descriptions, features/benefits, compliance matrices, discriminators) using AI-assisted analysis and content generation.
  • Create and refine reusable solution architectures, workflows, and patterns that emphasize clarity, compliance, and competitive differentiation.
  • Draft and refine technical and management volume content that explains how proposed solutions meet mission needs, reduce risk, and deliver measurable value.
  • Use enterprise and commercial AI platforms (e.g., government-secure AI instances and commercial models) to analyze RFPs/RFIs, extract requirements, identify risks/opportunities, and generate solution narratives.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable prompt patterns, AI workflows, and prompt-engineering best practices to increase speed and consistency of outputs.
  • Curate, validate, and organize AI-generated content to ensure technical coherence, compliance, and alignment with capture strategy and the Lead Solution Architect’s direction.
  • Support color team reviews (Pink/Red/Gold) by rapidly iterating and refining solution narratives and artifacts in response to reviewer feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with capture managers, proposal managers, technical SMEs, engineering leads, and operations/program managers to ensure realism and compliance.
  • Act as an AI advocate and coach—promoting safe, secure, and compliant use of AI tools, documenting lessons learned, and enabling teammates to apply AI effectively in capture/proposal processes.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Experience: Minimum 10 years supporting DoD or closely related government mission support environments.
    • Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of DoD missions, operational contexts, and solution constructs (systems integration, logistics/sustainment, training & simulation, C5ISR, etc.). Familiarity with federal proposal structure and evaluation criteria.
    • AI tools & practices: Demonstrated proficiency using commercial AI tools for professional tasks (analysis, drafting, solution exploration). Experience designing effective prompts and repeatable prompt patterns.
    • Skills: Strong analytical ability to synthesize RFPs, baselines, and stakeholder input into coherent solution narratives; excellent written communication for formal proposal content; detail-oriented with focus on compliance and traceability.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Eligibility: U.S. citizenship required and eligibility to obtain/maintain security clearance as project needs dictate.
    • Schedule: Ability to support proposal timelines, including surge periods and non‑standard hours.
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data/AI, business, or a defense-related discipline.
    • Familiarity with enterprise or government-secure AI platforms.
    • Conceptual familiarity with generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI-assisted analytics.
    • Experience with structured capture/proposal processes (e.g., Shipley, gated reviews, color teams).
    • Track record collaborating with technical SMEs, program managers, and BD teams.

Location & Work Conditions

  • Remote within the continental U.S. (CONUS); occasional travel (<20%) for in-person workshops, team sessions, or proposal orals may be required.
  • This is a pre-award (capture/proposal) role — no direct post-award execution responsibilities.
  • Reports to the Lead Solution Architect and operates as a shared resource across multiple pursuits.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary (good-faith estimate): $140,000 per year.
  • Benefits may include:
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance
    • Paid time off and holidays
    • Retirement benefits (including 401(k) matching)
    • Educational reimbursement
    • Parental leave
    • Employee stock purchase plan and tax-saving options
    • Disability and life insurance
    • Pet insurance
  • Note: Benefits and exact compensation may vary by location, employment type, applicable agreements (CBAs, SCA), and other legal requirements.
