What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is hiring an AI‑Enabled Solution Architect (entry‑level architect for capture & proposal support) to accelerate pre‑award solutioning for Department of Defense (DoD) opportunities. This remote (CONUS) role supports capture and proposal teams by applying AI-assisted analysis and content generation to produce clear, compliant, and competitive proposal artifacts.

Responsibilities include:

• Support live DoD capture and proposal efforts by developing concept‑level technical solutions aligned to solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and customer constraints.
• Translate requirements, technical baselines, and capabilities narratives into proposal‑ready artifacts (solution descriptions, compliance mappings, features/benefits tables, discriminators).
• Draft and refine technical and management volume content that explains how proposed solutions meet mission needs, reduce risk, and deliver measurable value.
• Create reusable solution architectures, workflows, and patterns focused on clarity, compliance, and differentiation (not detailed implementation design).
• Use internal and commercial AI platforms (e.g., enterprise AI, ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI, Claude) to analyze RFPs/RFIs, identify risks and opportunities, and generate draft narratives and supporting materials.
• Design and maintain repeatable prompt patterns and AI workflows to improve speed and quality of solution development.
• Apply prompt engineering and AI best practices to guide models toward accurate, relevant, and compliant outputs for defense missions.
• Curate, validate, and integrate AI‑generated content so it aligns with capture strategy and Lead Solution Architect direction.
• Rapidly iterate solution narratives and artifacts to support color team reviews (Pink/Red/Gold) and incorporate reviewer feedback.
• Collaborate closely with capture managers, proposal managers, technical SMEs, engineering leads, and operations/program managers as a shared resource across multiple pursuits.
• Advocate for safe, secure, and compliant use of AI tools in capture/proposal activities and coach colleagues on effective AI practices.

Who You Are / Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience supporting DoD (Department of War) or similar government mission support environments.
• Strong domain knowledge of defense mission areas (systems integration, logistics & sustainment, training & simulation, C5ISR, or similar).
• Familiarity with federal proposal structure and evaluation (technical and management volumes, compliance matrices).
• Demonstrated professional use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for analysis, drafting, and content refinement.
• Experience designing effective prompts and repeatable prompt patterns that produce consistent, high‑quality outputs.
• Excellent written communication skills for structured, customer‑facing proposal content.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; able to map requirements to solution features with clear traceability.
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent pursuits in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment; available for surge periods and non‑standard hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain/maintain the required security clearance for assigned projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data/AI, business, or a defense‑related discipline.
• Familiarity with enterprise or government AI platforms (secure AI environments such as ChatGPT.gov, AwardedAI, or equivalents).
• Conceptual knowledge of generative AI, retrieval‑augmented generation, prompt engineering, and AI‑assisted analytics.
• Experience with structured capture and proposal processes (Shipley, gated reviews, color teams).
• Prior work with cross‑functional capture/proposal teams (technical SMEs, program managers, business development).

Working Conditions

• Location: Remote within CONUS; occasional travel (<20%) for team sessions, workshops, or proposal orals.
• Schedule: Must support proposal timelines and surge periods, including non‑standard hours when needed.
• Reports to: Lead Solution Architect; operates as a shared resource across multiple capture and proposal teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $140,000 (good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other factors).
