Role overview
Confidential Client seeks an AI Data Analyst to partner with the Director of Data Analytics to design, build, validate, and deploy AI-enabled reporting and analytics solutions. This role focuses on practical, explainable AI adoption across data preparation, document processing, predictive analysis, and process automation within a building-construction environment. The role requires hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, Microsoft Copilot (and similar AI tools), and a strong emphasis on validation, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Director of Data Analytics to integrate AI functionality into existing data infrastructure and build new AI-based tools to improve business processes.
- Identify opportunities where AI can increase efficiency, improve decision-making, or deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Build AI-assisted workflows for data preparation, document processing, predictive analytics, and process automation.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI (or comparable tools) and maintain data models using SQL/Python.
- Use Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools to accelerate reporting, analysis, and solution prototyping while ensuring outputs are validated.
- Create and maintain documentation, tests, and explainability artifacts so AI outputs are auditable and understandable.
- Validate, interpret, and troubleshoot AI model outputs; design guardrails and user-interface considerations for safe deployment.
- Work with stakeholders to understand ontology and requirements for custom agent/assistant builds.
- Produce ad-hoc tools and reports with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
Key qualifications
- Proficient in Power BI (or similar BI tools), SQL, Excel, and Python.
- Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted tools in analytics workflows.
- Familiarity with data modeling, predictive analytics, and building production-ready data workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical results for business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to research emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AI analytics, data modeling, or Microsoft-based analytics solutions.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent certifications/experience.
- At least 3 years of applicable, demonstrable experience working with analytics, AI tooling, and data modeling.
Work location & travel
- This position is full-time and requires working in-office in Nashville, TN.
- Potential local site visits as required.
