What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level AI & Data Engineering Analyst to support government and public-sector engagements. In this role you will design, build, and help deploy intelligent systems and data platforms that drive mission outcomes and measurable client value.
- Support design, architecture, and development of AI/ML and data engineering solutions (chatbots, virtual assistants, ML models, cognitive services).
- Help implement data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workstreams.
- Work with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into technical designs and prototypes.
- Validate model performance, support testing and deployment activities, and document implementation details.
- Participate in client meetings, present findings, and contribute to recommendations that improve program performance.
- Contribute to proposals, technical artifacts, and knowledge-sharing within the practice.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and reproducible analytical workflows.
Responsibilities & Day-to-Day
- Build data pipelines and integrate structured and unstructured data sources.
- Implement machine learning experiments and evaluation pipelines.
- Prototype conversational AI, virtual assistants, or other cognitive services where applicable.
- Create technical deliverables, diagrams, and clear client-facing documentation.
- Support business analysis, requirements gathering, and translation of insights into action.
- Travel to client sites as required and collaborate with client stakeholders to deliver against project milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed) OR current enrollment in an accredited college/university with expected graduation by Fall 2026 in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computational Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Must reside within a commutable distance (e.g., ~100-mile radius) of the assigned office and be able to commute daily if required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Willingness to travel up to ~50%, on average.
- Minimum age: 18 at time of employment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively on teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.4+ preferred.
- Internship, coursework, or project experience in AI/ML, data engineering, robotics, or related fields.
- Experience with Python, SQL, common ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), or cloud data tools.
- Familiarity with conversational AI platforms, model evaluation metrics, and scalable data architectures.
- Prior consulting or client-facing experience is a plus.
