Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Ag Teacher to deliver high-quality agricultural science instruction for secondary students in Waco, TX. This role focuses on classroom instruction, hands-on agricultural field experiences, and curriculum-aligned lesson delivery. Employment type: Full time (contract).

What You’ll Do

• Teach agricultural science courses and related career/technical content aligned to state standards
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and unit plans that integrate agricultural technology and applied learning
• Instruct and manage student behavior in classroom and lab/field settings
• Supervise agricultural field experiences, labs, and hands-on projects safely and effectively
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, student progress, and school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and program activities
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and school leadership

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for agricultural science — or related training/work experience accepted under a District of Innovation waiver where allowed
• Demonstrated competency in agricultural science
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior
• Ability to supervise agricultural field experiences

Preferred qualifications

• Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience in agricultural education
• Experience developing curriculum and integrating agricultural technology into lessons
