Aerospace Quality Engineer
The Aerospace Quality Engineer will lead quality initiatives throughout the aerospace product lifecycle, including root cause investigations, corrective actions, and compliance with AS9100 standards. This role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive product quality improvements, support supplier quality, and implement continuous improvement processes in a regulated manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
This Confidential Client is hiring an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support product and process quality across the design, testing, and production lifecycle for aerospace components and systems.
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA/CAPA) investigations for product failures, field returns, and nonconforming material.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and recommend dispositions for nonconforming parts.
- Prepare and review First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 requirements.
- Support Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), inspection plans, quality procedures, quality alerts, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support supplier quality activities including audits, corrective actions, and performance improvements.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend process and design improvements using lean principles.
- Support product qualification, testing, and production readiness activities.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), RCCA, and CAPA.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management requirements.
- Experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and MRB participation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
- Supplier quality experience, including supplier audits and corrective action oversight.
- Quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, or similar.
- Experience with inspection plans, ATPs, ECNs, and quality system improvements.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Open to Early-Career Engineers
Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields may be considered if they have internships or co-op experience in quality, manufacturing, or aerospace environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Contract-to-hire position (onsite).
- Pay range: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour (final rate depends on experience and qualifications).
