What You’ll Do
The Actuarial Analyst supports pricing, reserving, forecasting, and data analytics for the Confidential Client’s actuarial team in the Harrisburg / Lower Paxton, PA area (ZIP 17177). This is an entry-level, full-time role focused on building technical skills and exam progress toward ASA.
- Assist senior actuarial staff with rate filings and pricing analyses.
- Support the monthly reserve valuation process and learn the key drivers behind reserve estimates.
- Contribute to company forecasting efforts and help interpret forecast results for management.
- Gather, clean, and validate data used across pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
- Prepare management reports and maintain documentation for actuarial processes.
- Participate in the Actuarial Student Program and pursue ASA designation (exam support provided).
Responsibilities
- Provide pricing support for rate development and filings under senior guidance.
- Support forecasting activities—data preparation, model inputs, and results review.
- Assist with monthly reserve valuations and related analytics.
- Build and maintain data extracts and reports for management and actuarial models.
- Continue professional development through actuarial exams and internal training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in actuarial, analytics, or a related role.
- Currently pursuing the ASA designation; 1–3 actuarial exams completed preferred.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills; able to handle moderately complex problems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word and Access a plus.
- Detail-oriented with solid statistical reasoning.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD $63,350 — USD $119,390 per year (range provided in good faith; final pay will depend on candidate experience, qualifications, and internal equity).
