Responsibilities

This is an entry-level Actuarial Analyst role supporting actuarial, finance, and bid development activities for a confidential client in the Accounting & Finance sector. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserves for monthly close processes
  • Support monthly financial reconciliation for value‑based providers
  • Contribute to the development and submission of Medicare Advantage bids
  • Assist with quarterly forecasting and trend analysis
  • Perform financial analysis and build actuarial models
  • Produce actionable insights and recommendations from data analysis
  • Document assumptions, methods, and results for internal stakeholders and audits

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and modeling best practices)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present analysis clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Course work or hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or R
  • Internship or project experience in healthcare, Medicare Advantage, insurance analytics, or value‑based care
  • Familiarity with reserving, forecasting, and actuarial modeling techniques
  • 0–3 years of actuarial or insurance analytics experience (reserving, Medicare Advantage, value‑based settlements)
