Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Acquisition Support Specialist to provide acquisition and contract management support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) for Munitions PMX-311 Terminal Defense Systems (TDS). The role supports programs including Close-In Weapon System (CIWS), Directed Energy, Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS), Gun Weapon Systems (GWS), and the international Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) cooperative program.
This is a full-time opportunity based in Arlington, VA. Applicants must be U.S. citizens (required to obtain DoD Secret clearance).
What You’ll Do / Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and processing acquisition documentation and briefings.
- Coordinate actions and provide support for program meetings.
- Support senior staff in preparing Procurement Requests using the NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) suite.
- Help draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and contract Sections B–L, security documents, and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Work with program acquisition staff and Contracting Officers to track acquisition milestones and resolve contract development/execution issues.
- Support setup and execution of acquisition team meetings — prepare agendas, presentations, minutes, and action-item tracking.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated general professional work experience.
- Proficient with MS Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications; excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Ability to travel less than 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of contract management support experience with government programs.
- Current Secret U.S. Government Clearance.
Compensation Details
- $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
This range is provided as a good-faith estimate. Actual pay will depend on experience, education, location, and applicable laws.
