Role Summary
Confidential Client is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist / AR Specialist to support nationwide customer accounts and branch teams. This is a direct-hire, full-time position based in Los Angeles, CA (ZIP 90040). Pay: $30–$31 per hour (estimated annual ~$51,451). What You’ll Do
- Serve as the central D365 coordinator for nationwide customer payment information and distribute updates to branches accurately and promptly.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with sales representatives and branch teams; retrieve EDI reports and POD documents from 3PL portals as needed.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations between cash receipts and branch-applied amounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor unapplied or missed transactions and ensure payments are properly posted by month-end.
- Support branches processing customer deductions by gathering backup and facilitating timely resolution.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with branch teams to ensure smooth AR operations for nationwide customers.
- Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen AR performance.
- Leverage new technologies and tools to improve AR processes and reporting.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience across the full AR cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, data functions).
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales teams and branch AR teams.
- Willingness to adopt new technologies and improve processes.
- Power BI experience preferred for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Dependable work ethic and ability to show leadership when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Japanese language skill is a plus but not required.
