Accounts Receivable Accountant
The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing daily invoicing, cash applications, rebate accruals, and related financial processes. What You’ll Do
As an Accounts Receivable Accountant working with a confidential client in Accounting & Finance, you will learn and own core AR processes and contribute to process improvements. This entry-level role provides exposure to customers and internal stakeholders and requires strong communication, accuracy, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Post-process lockbox and in-house payments; research and resolve payment/application discrepancies to ensure cash is accurately applied to invoices and customer accounts.
- Perform daily invoicing for sales orders, online credit memos, and buy/sell activity; follow up with plants and marketing on billing issues to clear holds and reduce errors.
- Prepare and analyze reports for auditors, customers, and internal teams.
- Track and analyze rebate programs and accruals; support accrual calculations and reconciliations.
- Suggest system and process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency while maintaining strong customer communication.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Entry-level candidates: relevant internships or up to 2 years of accounting/AR experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for customer and cross-functional interactions.
