What You’ll Do
Careertakes is supporting an opportunity for an entry-level AP & AR Specialist Plymouth MN to join a growing finance team. In this hands-on role you will support both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while building real-world accounting experience.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Review invoices, purchase orders, payments, and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Enter and maintain financial information in accounting systems
- Assist with customer invoicing and monitor outstanding balances
- Process vendor invoices and help ensure payments are completed on schedule
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and internal teams about invoices and payments
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end activities and basic financial reporting
- Support the accounting team on ad hoc projects and process improvements
Who You Are / Qualifications
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their accounting career.
- Bachelor’s degree required (accounting coursework or degree preferred)
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic accounting concepts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze discrepancies and follow up to resolution
- Organized and able to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
- Reliable and professional in communication with internal and external partners
- Eager to learn accounting systems and develop technical skills
