Position Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Accounts Coordinator to support sales operations and deliver outstanding customer service. This role focuses on stock inventory sales, customer order entry in an ERP, quoting, freight coordination, and qualifying non-stock opportunities. Ideal for candidates who want to grow into a sales role and develop account-management skills.

What You’ll Do

• Provide excellent customer service via phone and email for existing and new customers.
• Recommend and sell stocked inventory; accurately quote and enter stock orders in the ERP.
• Verify, audit, and maintain sell prices and margins for assigned customers.
• Coordinate freight rates with Warehouse and Traffic teams.
• Enter purchase orders to suppliers and process carrier freight bills as needed.
• Process customer credits and follow up on short payments or discrepancies.
• Maintain Customer Open Order Report and expedite orders as necessary.
• Qualify non-stock opportunities and forward complex leads to senior sales team members.
• Enter and maintain customer, ship-to, and pick-ticket notes for Traffic.
• Escalate product quality or complaint issues to Quality for resolution.
• Travel to company meetings or training when required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support development of new customers with targeted vendors, per Sales Manager direction.
• Grow new business within existing accounts and monitor Just‑In‑Time (JIT) inventory programs.
• Ensure new business meets profitability and margin targets.
• Service accounts transferred to you and work to increase sales and gross profit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Interest in developing a career in sales.
• Customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills — written and verbal.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Working knowledge of office software and ERP/order‑entry systems.

Compensation
