What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations across multiple affiliated business units. You’ll ensure accurate transaction processing, maintain accounting records and schedules, support reconciliations, and help manage inventory-related accounting.
- Review, verify, code, and enter vendor invoices and related supporting documentation.
- Process employee expense reimbursements in line with policy.
- Prepare vendor payment schedules and payment support documentation.
- Review and reconcile corporate credit card activity.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close tasks.
- Prepare accounting schedules and reconciliations (fixed assets, prepaid insurance, professional services).
- Compare and reconcile financial and billing data between systems (e.g., QuickBooks and ProClaim).
- Record and maintain inventory transactions; perform monthly physical counts and investigate variances.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records; assist with filing, scanning, and general admin tasks.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, employees, and internal stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support special accounting and operational projects as needed.
Who You Are
- 1–3 years bookkeeping, accounts payable, or related accounting experience preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant education and strong aptitude will be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines across multiple priorities.
- Able to handle confidential financial and business information with discretion.
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Experience with healthcare billing systems such as ProClaim is a plus.
- Strong data entry, spreadsheet, and basic analytical skills.
- Comfortable preparing schedules, reconciliations, and basic financial reports.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based role with regular computer use.
- Prolonged sitting and frequent use of hands/fingers to operate keyboards and office equipment.
- Ability to review detailed financial documents for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting/carrying of office materials up to 15 pounds.
- Frequent interaction with vendors, employees, and management.
Compensation
- Estimated salary: $39,483 per year (estimated).
