What You’ll Do
This entry-level accounting role provides hands-on experience across accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will work closely with the Controller and the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records and support timely invoicing and vendor payments.
- Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and on time (Accounts Payable).
- Execute weekly check runs and manage payment schedules.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment status.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare, review, and submit daily/weekly customer invoices (Accounts Receivable).
- Enter AR data, apply customer payments and remittance advices to open invoices.
- Submit invoices through customer billing portals as required.
- Reconcile payments to pending accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate accounting records.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Controller; training and support provided.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent coursework/experience.
- 0–2 years of professional accounting experience; exposure to billing/invoicing is a plus.
- Willingness to learn Sage accounting software; prior exposure to Sage is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
- Able to identify and correct financial discrepancies; detail-oriented and reliable.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a small office environment and collaborating across teams.
- Eager to learn and grow into broader accounting responsibilities.

- Location: Warrenton, VA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay: $20–23 / hour DOE
- This is an in-office position with our confidential client in Warrenton, Virginia.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $20–23/hour DOE
