Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Accountant to join their North Wilkesboro, NC site. This full-time, first‑shift role supports financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and production/inventory accounting for the assigned business area. You will work closely with operations, HR, and plant teams to ensure accurate financial information, support audits, and help improve processes that drive cost control and decision making.

What You’ll Do

• Support weekly and monthly close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Produce and analyze monthly operations and production reports
• Maintain production reporting and inventory accounting inputs
• Analyze cost drivers and report on cost savings / cost reduction initiatives
• Provide financial analysis and cost estimates for new product initiatives and cost reduction projects
• Prepare and track Capital Investment Requests (CIRs) in accordance with internal approval processes
• Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan and periodic financial forecasts
• Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, HR, and other teams to align on policies and reporting
• Support internal and external audits; maintain compliance with internal controls and procedures
• Support LEAN and safety initiatives as appropriate
• Complete ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting or finance experience; experience in a manufacturing or plant environment preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Workday, UKG, or similar) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• May supervise clerical or administrative accounting staff
• Minimal travel required

Compensation & Logistics

• Estimated base pay: $50,747 per year (estimated)
• Employment type: Full‑time
• Shift: 1st shift (onsite) — primarily at the North Wilkesboro, NC location
