Role Overview

We’re hiring an entry-level Accountant (Accounts Receivable focus) to join a growing finance team for a Confidential Client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hands-on role designed for recent graduates or early-career candidates who want fast-track development, cross-functional exposure, and mentorship. The role emphasizes accuracy, analytical thinking, and a strong desire to learn.

What You’ll Do

You will work within Accounts Receivable and partner across finance, sales, and customer service to ensure accurate billing and collections processes.

• Process and apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire transfers, lockbox deposits, etc.).
• Reconcile customer accounts and apply payments and deductions accurately.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, deductions, and outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with Sales and business partners to investigate customer claims and promotional deductions.
• Support collections by following up on past-due invoices and payment exceptions.
• Analyze AR trends, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Participate in team-driven process improvements and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
