Accountant Intermediate
The Accountant Intermediate role supports commercial lending and loan closing activities by managing loan transactions from approval through closing. What You’ll Do
This role supports transaction execution from initial mandate through closing for commercial lending activities. You will coordinate across internal teams and with clients to ensure accurate, timely loan closings and strong operational controls.
- Partner with relationship managers, treasury, and credit teams to move loan transactions from approval through closing.
- Analyze credit agreements and legal documents to identify operational requirements and execution considerations.
- Communicate with clients to collect closing materials, clarify outstanding items, and keep deliverables on schedule.
- Assemble and distribute closing packages; verify documentation meets credit terms and asset-related conditions.
- Coordinate stakeholders day-to-day to maintain deal momentum and address issues that could delay execution.
- Apply judgment and problem-solving to support transaction readiness and resolve documentation/process concerns.
- Participate in initiatives to strengthen workflows, improve procedures, and increase lending operations quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred (loan origination, loan administration, commercial lending, or closely related).
- Working knowledge of LoanIQ and familiarity with syndicated loans or commercial credit transactions.
- Ability to review legal and credit documentation carefully and interpret key terms that affect operational execution.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities during month-end/quarter-end.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder coordination skills, including direct client interaction.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, accountability, and consistency.
Location & Schedule
This position requires permanent, in-office attendance in Charlotte, NC. Typical schedule is 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with occasional overtime as business needs require.
Compensation (Estimated)
- Estimated annual compensation: $65,426 (per year — estimated).
