About the Role — Accountant I (Confidential Client)

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Accountant I to support core accounting operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized candidate who wants hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. The position is located in Louisville, CO and may be offered as full-time or contractor employment.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and update the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and ensure accurate postings.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and assist in preparing financial reports.
• Compile financial data to support balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Assist with audit requests by gathering documentation and supporting schedules.
• Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned to support the finance team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2 years accounting experience (entry-level).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and on a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (preferred but not required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting financial reporting.

Compensation

• Pay Range (reported): $60,885.00 - $83,717.25 per year.
  Your actual base compensation will be determined case-by-case based on experience, education, internal equity, and market factors.
