What You’ll Do

This hybrid, full-time accounting role supports day-to-day financial operations for our confidential client in the equipment, material‑handling and storage‑solutions industry. You will perform core accounting tasks, help maintain accurate records, and support reporting and month‑end close activities while using automation and AI tools responsibly.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and expense tracking
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger entries
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting inquiries
• Support external auditors and tax professionals as needed
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and reporting workflows
• Use AI and automation tools responsibly to streamline routine tasks and improve reporting while protecting confidential data

Who You Are

You are an organized, detail‑oriented accounting professional who is comfortable working in a hybrid environment and is eager to apply modern tools, including AI-driven automation, to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Strong attention to detail and time‑management skills
• Reliable communicator—clear written and verbal skills for cross‑departmental collaboration
• Comfortable evaluating AI‑generated outputs for accuracy and maintaining data security

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior accounting experience in a corporate or small‑to‑medium business setting
• Solid knowledge of general accounting: AP, AR, GL management
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations
• Working knowledge of GAAP and applicable tax/compliance basics
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP software and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated, practical experience using AI/automation tools in accounting workflows (identifying use cases, validating results, and protecting sensitive data)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in equipment, material‑handling, storage‑solutions, construction, or related industries
• Experience supporting external audits or tax engagements
• Familiarity with process improvement and reporting automation

• Location: Elmhurst, IL (hybrid — on‑site presence required as specified by the hiring manager)
• Employment type: Full‑time
