Position Overview

This entry-level Accountant role supports a Confidential Client in the consumer goods & beauty sector. The position offers hands-on experience in core accounting activities—accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger support—within a collaborative finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least one year of practical accounting experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with daily accounts payable tasks: review invoices, prepare entries, and support timely payment processing.
• Support accounts receivable activities: apply cash receipts, monitor outstanding balances, and maintain customer account records.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to identify variances and research differences.
• Prepare and post routine accounting entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Use Excel and accounting software to organize financial data and contribute to regular reporting.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain orderly financial files and support day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a detail-focused environment.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger fundamentals.
• Familiarity with financial statements, basic financial analysis, and business math.
• Experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort using or learning accounting systems.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good written/verbal communication.
• A team-oriented mindset and a demonstrated willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with common accounting software (ERP or cloud-based systems).
• Prior experience in consumer goods or beauty industry accounting.
• Basic understanding of internal controls and month-end close processes.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated pay (per original posting): $51,941 per year (estimated).
