What You’ll Do

This is an accounting role focused on billing, invoicing, reconciliations, month-end close, and contract/project accounting. You will support the Controller and the broader accounting team by ensuring accurate billing, timely vendor payments, and reliable financial records using accounting systems (Unanet experience helpful). This position is open to a range of experience levels (entry through senior) and offers growth into broader accounting responsibilities.

• Process and audit weekly billing reports and prepare customer invoices in accordance with contract terms
• Post and reconcile customer payments, bank accounts, and credit card activity
• Manage accounts payable workflows and vendor payments
• Maintain billing and vendor documentation; handle billing inquiries and support collections follow-up
• Enter and update contract, rate, and time/expense data in the accounting system (Unanet preferred)
• Create invoice templates, expense vouchers, and contract setups; monitor contract budgets and flag overruns
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and ad-hoc financial reporting
• Participate in project-management meetings to review fund status and compliance requirements
• Recommend and help implement improvements to billing procedures and internal controls

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred
• 0–7+ years accounting experience — open to entry-level through senior candidates
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Experience with accounting software; Unanet experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and taking on increasing responsibility

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on Unanet experience (rate entries, invoice templates, time/expense reporting)
• Prior experience with contract or project accounting
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic macros)
• Experience reconciling bank and credit card accounts

Compensation & Employment Type

• Estimated pay: $100,071 per year (estimated figure from source)
• Employment type: Full-Time / Contractor (per the role posting)

• Location: Coraopolis, PA (local to the Coraopolis / Pittsburgh area)
• On-site presence expected unless otherwise discussed during recruitment
