Overview

This role supports plant and business finance for a production facility. The Accountant will prepare forecasts, maintain accurate financial reporting inputs, monitor cost drivers, and help improve processes that strengthen financial performance and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close and report on operational results
• Maintain production reporting and inventory accounting processes
• Analyze cost savings and cost reduction initiatives; provide reporting and recommendations
• Prepare financial analysis and cost estimates for new product development and cost reduction projects
• Prepare and track Capital Investment Requests (CIRs) in alignment with company financial approval processes
• Assist with preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis
• Partner with Operations, HR, and other departments for alignment with policies and accurate financial reporting
• Support internal and external audit activities; ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
• Perform ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned
• Potentially supervise clerical or administrative accounting personnel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1+ years of accounting or finance experience required (manufacturing or plant experience preferred)
• Completion of an approved F&A trainee program may be accepted as equivalent to one year of experience where applicable
• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic manufacturing accounting concepts

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred; Workday, UKG experience a plus)
• Comfortable preparing and reviewing financial schedules and reconciliations

• Estimated pay: $51,713 per year (estimated)
