What You’ll Do
This Confidential Client is hiring an Account Manager I to support a small client territory and assist with service requests across personal property and casualty insurance lines. This is an entry-level, full-time role on a hybrid schedule (2 in-office days).
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide timely responses to client and mortgage company requests via phone, email, and mail
- Update mortgagee and bill payer information and follow up with necessary paperwork
- Coordinate with auto dealers, lien holders, and additional insureds to complete documentation
- Interface with carriers for policy endorsements, evidence of property, binders, certificates of insurance, and ID cards
- Maintain contact with carrier underwriters when necessary
- Learn and follow agency change procedures and internal benchmarks
- Support service managers on special projects and perform other assigned duties
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Minimum / required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Comfortable applying basic insurance knowledge to meet customer needs
- Good customer service, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common office equipment
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ year of related insurance industry experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated annual pay: $42,000 — $52,000 (final offer dependent on skills, experience, education, and location)
- Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off (PTO), and flexible spending accounts (FSA) for eligible employees
Work Arrangement & Location
- Location: Morris Plains, NJ (hybrid — approximately 2 days per week in office)
