Role Overview

This field-based Account Executive (Public Sector) role is focused on new account acquisition across the Greater San Francisco area with regular in-office collaboration at the Fremont, CA location. You will prospect, build relationships, and close business with small-to-mid-sized organizations within an assigned local territory. Success requires strong territory planning, consultative selling, pipeline management, and consistent face-to-face customer engagement.


What You’ll Do

  • Own territory planning and execute outside-sales activities to identify, qualify, and close new customers in the assigned local market.
  • Build relationships with decision makers, influencers, and buyers through in-person meetings, networking events, referrals, and cold outreach.
  • Conduct needs assessments and present tailored product/service solutions that drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Maintain and forecast an active sales pipeline; enter accurate activity, contact, and opportunity data in CRM (Salesforce preferred).
  • Collaborate with implementation, sales support, and product specialists to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term account success.
  • Share market insights and best practices with internal teams to improve win rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly travel within the assigned territory to meet prospects and customers (local travel expected).

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum ~2 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (or equivalent aptitude).
  • Demonstrated relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Comfortable with cold-calling, prospecting, and securing face-to-face meetings.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for territory travel.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong initiative, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.

Skills & Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, Salesforce preferred.
  • Solid consultative selling and needs-analysis capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to maintain CRM data integrity and support accurate forecasting.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

  • Salary range: $75,000/year to $80,000/year. This range reflects the employer’s good-faith estimate and may be adjusted to comply with state and local minimum wage requirements.
  • Eligible to participate in incentive/commission programs as described by the employer’s incentive plan.
  • Benefits package may include 401(k) and other standard offerings; additional details provided by the employer during the hiring process.
  • This is a full-time, field-based role that requires routine travel within the assigned territory and regular office collaboration in Fremont, CA.
