What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking a detail-driven Account Coordinator to own Thursday–Sunday operational execution for federal, state, and municipal freight accounts. This role focuses on USPS load coverage, bounce recoveries, carrier coordination, and maintaining compliance and visibility for mission-critical government shipments.

  • Monitor and manage open USPS load assignments during the Thursday–Sunday shift to ensure tendered loads are covered before pickup windows close.
  • Identify at-risk or uncovered loads early and perform carrier outreach to secure compliant capacity.
  • Execute bounce recoveries by rapidly sourcing replacement carriers for rejected, dropped, or lost loads.
  • Coordinate with carriers, dispatch, and internal operations to implement recoveries and maintain customer communication.
  • Document load coverage, recovery actions, and findings accurately in the TMS for reporting and root-cause analysis.
  • Escalate contract-critical or unresolved coverage issues to Government Services leadership with context and recommended actions.
  • Build and maintain a vetted network of truckload carriers for government and strategic lanes; maintain performance/compliance scorecards.
  • Support award go-lives and lane operations end-to-end — ensuring new lanes are operational from day one.
  • Monitor shipment visibility through tools such as FourKites and project44 to identify exceptions and maintain continuous tracking.
  • Collect PODs, invoices, and required documentation from carriers within required timeframes.
  • Generate and distribute operational reports and lane performance summaries as required.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of logistics, freight operations, or supply chain experience preferred; motivated entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Experience handling freight exceptions, load coverage, or carrier recovery in time-sensitive situations is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, carrier portals, or visibility tools (FourKites, project44) preferred.
  • Clear, confident verbal and written communication — comfortable representing the account under pressure.
  • Strong data-entry accuracy and attention to detail for government reporting and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, including active recovery situations, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable and self-directed — consistent schedule adherence during extended weekend hours required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; quick to learn new systems and logistics platforms.
  • Available to work Thursday–Sunday on-site in Riverview, FL.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is a plus.

Key Competencies

  • Drive for Results — ownership, urgency, and accountability in load-recovery situations.
  • Collaboration — effective partnership across internal teams and carrier relationships.
  • Adaptability — organized and effective in a fast-changing, high-stakes operational environment.
  • Tech Fluency — comfortable with Microsoft Office and logistics visibility/TMS tools.
  • Attention to Detail — handles high-volume transactional work without sacrificing accuracy.

Working Hours & Employment Type

  • Schedule: Thursday–Sunday (on-site) — consistent adherence required.
  • Employment Type: Full-time.
