What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a detail-oriented Account Coordinator to support government freight accounts on a Thursday–Sunday schedule (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AZ time). This role focuses on day-to-day operational execution, with a primary responsibility for covering open USPS loads and performing bounce recoveries to maintain mission-critical service levels. You’ll work in a hybrid environment but must be available to work on-site during the assigned shift and provide weekend coverage reliably.

  • Estimated salary: $45,533 per year (estimated)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage open USPS load assignments during Thursday–Sunday shift hours and ensure tendered loads are covered by compliant carriers.
  • Identify at-risk or uncovered loads early; perform carrier outreach to secure capacity and maintain on-time performance.
  • Execute bounce recoveries—rapidly source replacement coverage for rejected, dropped, or lost loads.
  • Coordinate with carriers, dispatch, and internal operations to resolve exceptions and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Record all load coverage and recovery activity accurately in the TMS for reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Escalate contract-critical or unresolved load coverage issues to Government Services leadership with context and recommended actions.
  • Build and maintain a vetted carrier network and update carrier records, equipment data, and driver information in the TMS.
  • Support award go-lives and lane operations — ensure new lanes are operational and track tendered volumes versus contractual commitments.
  • Monitor shipment visibility via FourKites and project44; resolve exceptions and collect required PODs, invoices, and compliance documentation.
  • Generate and distribute operational reports and lane performance summaries as required.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • 1–2 years of experience in logistics, freight operations, or supply chain preferred; motivated entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with freight exceptions, load coverage, or carrier recovery in a time-sensitive environment is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms and visibility tools (FourKites, project44) is advantageous.
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication; able to represent the account to carrier partners under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data-entry accuracy for government reporting and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Dependable and self-directed — consistent availability for the Thursday–Sunday on-site schedule is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; quick to learn new systems and tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, or related field a plus.

Key Competencies

  • Drive for Results — ownership, urgency, and accountability, especially during recoveries.
  • Collaboration — effective cross-functional partnering with carriers and internal teams.
  • Adaptability — organized and effective during rapid operational changes.
  • Tech Fluency — comfortable with MS Office and logistics platforms.
  • Attention to Detail — maintain accuracy in high-volume, transactional work.
