What You’ll Do
The Government Services Account Coordinator will own day-to-day operational execution for federal, state, and municipal freight accounts. You will ensure on-time, compliant, and well-documented movement of government freight by managing carrier capacity, coordinating award go-lives, maintaining tracking & visibility, and producing required reports.
- Build and maintain a vetted, high-performing truckload carrier network for government and strategic accounts.
- Maintain carrier performance and compliance scorecards; lead regular carrier check-ins to address KPIs and performance gaps.
- Manage carrier contact records, equipment data, and driver information in the TMS with a high standard of accuracy.
- Support trailer pool processes and any related technology tools.
- Own award go-lives end-to-end — coordinate internal teams and carrier partners so new lanes are operational from day one.
- Track tendered volumes, shipment cadence, and award commitments; flag and escalate deviations proactively.
- Maintain route guides, facility records, and contact information for shippers and consignees.
- Monitor real-time shipment tracking via FourKites and project44; maintain continuous visibility on in-transit government freight.
- Identify and resolve daily operational exceptions quickly; escalate when at-risk shipments or carrier relationships require it.
- Follow up with carriers to collect PODs, invoices, and required documentation within contractual timeframes.
- Generate and distribute operational reports and lane performance summaries to account and management teams.
- Learn and apply each customer’s specific KPIs and reporting requirements to daily operations.
Location & Schedule
This is an on-site, full-time role based at our office in Paradise Valley, AZ.
- Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Arizona time, Monday–Friday.
- Office address: 5350 East High Street, Bldg A4, Suite 200, Phoenix, Arizona 85054.
- Occasional evening or weekend email monitoring may be required for time-sensitive issues.
Compensation
- Estimated base pay: $46,274 per year (estimated). Exact pay offered will depend on experience and internal pay practices.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, freight operations, or supply chain preferred; motivated entry-level candidates from any background are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with TMS platforms, carrier portals, or visibility tools (FourKites, project44) is a plus.
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills — you will often be the voice of the account to carrier partners.
- Strong data-entry accuracy and attention to detail — precision matters for government reporting and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; quick to learn new systems and logistics tools.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is a plus.
