Account Associate
The Account Associate serves as the primary contact for external mortgage clients and internal partners, supporting a Relationship Manager by managing client relationships and ensuring compliance with policies. Responsibilities include client communication, account administration, report generation using Excel, file review, issue resolution, and collaboration across teams. This hybrid contract role requires strong skills in financial services, client management, and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.

What You’ll Do
Support the Relationship Manager and serve as a primary client contact for mortgage-document custody and related account administration tasks for Confidential Client. Responsibilities include:
- Communicate daily with external mortgage clients and internal business partners via phone and email; explain reports and resolve inquiries.
- Manage account setup, maintenance, and oversight in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Prepare, generate, and review reports in Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) to summarize file and account status.
- Review mortgage and collateral files to ensure they meet client criteria prior to storage (files may be retained 3 days to 30 years).
- Research and help resolve day-to-day client issues, escalating to the Relationship Manager as needed.
- Create and manage sensitive documentation such as certifications and trust receipts; handle confidential correspondence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external vendors; support larger projects when assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or professional customer service, or a Bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience.
- Minimum 6 months hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Customer-service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and follow established policies and procedures.
- Preferred: 6+ months experience in the mortgage industry or working with mortgage documents.
- Entry-level to early-career candidates who meet the experience requirements are encouraged to apply.

- Microsoft Excel — reporting, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables
- Microsoft Outlook — daily communication and request management
- Word processing for composing complex/confidential correspondence
- Strong aptitude for learning internal systems and reporting tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Rate: $22.00 per hour
- Position type: Contract (expected duration and assignment specifics provided by Confidential Client)
