Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Account Associate on a Contract / Full-Time basis to support Chemical Solutions & Monitoring (CSM) activities for mining and heavy industry customers across northern Minnesota. This role is field-facing and training-focused — ideal for recent graduates or early-career candidates who want hands-on exposure to water/process chemical treatment, sampling, and technical service.


What You’ll Do

Confidential Client provides structured mentoring and technical training. In this role you will:

  • Shadow Account Managers and Field Service personnel to learn chemical treatment programs (dust control, material handling, antiscalant, solid-liquid separation, cooling & boiler water, wastewater, Memchem).
  • Collect and run field samples, assist with basic data analysis, and help prepare technical summaries and reports under supervision.
  • Complete required technical training to build foundational knowledge of chemical applications and water-treatment processes.
  • Support customer visits and service calls to learn customer-facing technical service and relationship-building.
  • Maintain and update customer records, assist with sample scheduling, and support documentation tasks.
  • Observe and follow EHS/safety policies while learning safe work practices in industrial settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental preferred) or in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or similar. Recent graduates and candidates with 0–2 years’ relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Interest in water and process chemical treatment.
  • Strong academic background, internship experience, or laboratory experience in technical/industrial environments.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel for customer visits (learner’s permits or restricted licenses do not qualify).
  • Strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate in a mentoring environment, and work in industrial settings.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in sample collection and basic data analysis.
  • Reliable support for Account Manager activities and timely documentation.
  • Growing independent capability in technical analysis and customer support.
  • Consistent adherence to safety standards and professional conduct on site.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (posted): $79,825 – $85,000 USD per year (range is a guide; final offers depend on experience, skills, and internal equity).
