What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Account Associate to support Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) work serving mining and heavy industry customers in northern Minnesota. This is a hands-on, field-facing role designed for recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years’ experience who want to build technical and commercial skills in water and process-chemical treatment.

  • Shadow experienced Account Managers and Field Service staff to learn chemical treatment programs for dust control, material handling, antiscalant, solid-liquid separation, cooling water, boiler water, wastewater and related Memchem solutions
  • Collect and run field and lab samples, assist with basic data analysis, and help prepare technical reports under supervision
  • Complete comprehensive technical training programs to build foundational knowledge in chemical applications and water treatment processes
  • Assist with customer visits and service calls to gain exposure to industrial sites and customer relationship management
  • Maintain customer records, assist with sample scheduling, and support account documentation
  • Prepare preliminary technical summaries and reports for review by Account Managers
  • Follow all EHS policies and safe work practices while learning in industrial environments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related technical field preferred (recent graduates welcome)
  • Interest in water treatment and process chemical applications
  • Strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in industrial settings and traveling regionally
  • Full valid U.S. driver’s license required (learner permits or restricted G-class equivalents do not qualify)
  • Willingness to learn in a mentoring environment and develop technical expertise

  • Demonstrated proficiency in sample collection and basic data analysis
  • Timely and accurate support of Account Manager tasks
  • Growing technical knowledge of customer industries and applications
  • Progression toward independent analysis and technical reporting
  • Consistent adherence to safety standards at customer sites

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $79,825.00 - $85,000.00 USD (range provided by Confidential Client; offers depend on experience, skills, and internal equity)
