Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level Accessory Upfitting role based in Matthews, NC. This hands-on position supports service technicians by installing accessories, assisting with repairs and maintenance, and learning technical skills and manufacturer training pathways to advance toward a Service Technician role.

What You’ll Do

• Assist master/service technicians and team leaders with vehicle inspections and accessory installations
• Support diagnosis and performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks
• Request and track parts needed for jobs; assist with parts handling and inventory processes
• Document services performed and record hours accurately in the company timekeeping system
• Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Participate in required training programs (e.g., NAPA, manufacturer training, state inspection/emissions training, if applicable)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and help uphold customer service standards (CSI)
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the service team

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems; demonstrable mechanical aptitude
• Technical training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred; up to 3 years of related experience acceptable
• Valid driver’s license
• Eligible for training programs (NAPA/manufacturer/state inspection/emissions) as required
• Basic computer skills for timekeeping and parts/inventory systems
• Strong ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine physical tasks (stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel)
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions

Preferred Education & Experience

• GED or High School Diploma; associate degree or higher is a plus but not required
• Any relevant technical certifications or coursework in automotive technology are a plus
