About the Opportunity
CareerTakes is partnering with a confidential national telecommunications provider seeking a driven Account Executive to expand small business connectivity solutions within an assigned territory.
This field-based role focuses on acquiring new business accounts by delivering tailored voice, data, video, and mobile solutions to small and mid-sized businesses.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment sponsorship.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and generate new business sales within an assigned territory
- Conduct consultative needs assessments with small business owners
- Recommend customized communication and connectivity solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to close
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Participate in ongoing sales training and team meetings
Working Conditions
- Field-based role with frequent driving and in-person meetings
- Outdoor selling required
- Occasional office-based administrative work
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- 2+ years of sales experience
OR - 2+ years in telecommunications or technical industry
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple sales activities within deadlines
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and professional
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance
Preferred Qualifications
- Business-to-business outside sales experience
- Experience exceeding quota targets
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Compensation & Earnings
Base salary range: $47,800 – $79,100, depending on experience and location.
Additional compensation may include:
- Commission earnings (target starting at approximately $54,000)
- Performance bonuses
- Incentive-based compensation programs
